Rick Groves graduated from the University of Toronto in June of 1979. The first 15 years of his career was spent working the Ministry of Natural Resources in all four corners of the province of Ontario. He joined the private sector in 1994 in the position of Woodlands Manager of a Greenfield Oriented Strand Board mill in Wawa. From there Rick became Chief Forester - Ontario for Tembec and worked in Timmins, Ontario until 2005 when he accepted his present position with AbitibiBowater as Forestry Manager-Ontario Wood Products.
