Kandyd Szuba obtained graduate and undergrad degrees from the Faculty of Forestry at the University of Toronto. Population dynamics and habitat selection of spruce grouse, red-shouldered hawk and salamander habitats, and forest succession have been key areas of research. She served as the biologist on 30 FMA Reviews and Independent Forest Audits across Ontario, and was adjunct professor of biology and environmental science for 10 years at Nipissing University. Since 2001 Kandyd has had the honour of working with forestry staff of Domtar Inc., an integrated forest products company, as their biologist.
