Forest Co-op NW Yield Curves Project
Capitalizing on the methods previously developed and tested in northeastern Ontario, the Forest Co-op NW Yield Curves Project was developed to provide improved yield coefficients for standard forest units in northwestern Ontario. The results of this project provide the means to more accurately estimate forest yield, thereby reducing uncertainty in forest management decisions. The coefficients developed have been integrated into the Ontario Ministry of Natural Resources Modeling and Inventory Support Tool (MIST) for use in forest management planning exercises.
