Forest Co-op 2nd Annual Science Day
"The Forest Co-op Advantage"
Over 70 members, partners, researchers and guests attended the 2nd Annual Forest Co-op Science Day entitled "The Forest Co-op Advantage" on April 4, 2007. A dynamic keynote address for Science Day, entitled "The Essential Role of Science in Sustainable Forestry", was given by Kirsten Vice, Vice-President of the National Council for Air and Stream Improvement (NCASI). Additionally, George Breummer, Executive Director of the Canadian Wood Fibre Centre (CWFC) spoke about the newly developed Canadian Forest Service initiative that he is leading. The remainder of the day focused on partners and researchers showcasing Forest Co-op projects and highlighting the advantages of the Forest Co-op as a delivery agent for timely, relevant forest science initiatives.
